I do agree though man that you should at least try craigslist if you don't wanna ebay that stuff. Heck, check out amazon for books and old movies they are giving good credit for those things and you can easily find something on their website worth a flip.

He use to sell me stuff for what he paid for it at one point in time I had 16 guitars (I dont even play guitar lol) just for the fact I would buy guitars that were worth 800 bucks for 50-75 bucks each from him then resale them lol

when I lived in fla I had a deal with a local pawn shop on DVD's the girl that worked there would call me when someone would bring in a big collection and I would buy them for 3-5 bucks each they are great places to find deals Horrible places to sell stuff...

I watch pawn stars and I have NO idea why people take valuable collectibles to them in the first place. since when does pawn shop = collectible dealer???

Seller..Hey I have an Action comics its in 8.5 condition how much will you give me..

Rick..Oh man thats worth about 400 bucks

Seller.. 400 Bucks one sold for 1.5 mil

Rick.. well you see thats auction retail price I gotta make a few bucks and who knows how long I will have to hold onto it to get my money back

Seller.. do you think you could go higher I mean its worth 1.5 mill how about 1 mill

Rick.. Man I might could offer you 425 but thats as high as I will go I mean it is an old comic

Seller.. Oh could ya do maybe like 750k

Rick.. nah I'll go 450

Seller.. oh 450 k hmmm

Rick.. nono 450 bucks CASH

Seller.. Dude F off I am goin to put it on Ebay

THIS IS not an actual; Pawn stars episode but what I think would happen IF someone showed up with an Action Comics #1 lol

lol

You speak the truth. I'm always amazed that some people bring in rare items to that place. My favorite is when someone has a unique item and Rick brings in a specialist to confirm it authenticity. Once they confirm its real and worth big $ these tools sell it off for next to nothing.

Also, the dolts aren't thinking that if someone is saying that its worth $10,000. Thats only their opinion, it could shatter that price once in a real auction at Christie's, Sotheby's etc...

Instead they sell it to Rick for $2500 and go blow it at the casino....

Are you saying that Amazon will buy your used books for credit on their site? If so, that sounds pretty cool.

This is where places like Newbury Comics go wrong. They are a chain store that pays you $4 when you trade in a blu-ray disc - but then try to charge people $24.99 for them - which is $5 less than retail there. No one buys the used discs for them because they are charging way too much!

I'd love to browse through a decent pawnshop.
