I don't think anyone gets what Laura is. She is literally Electric Tits that's her character....the fact she's not even in her signature costume takes even more of her away....her only identifying feature at this point is her hair lol and i don't think they have done a good job with that.

And even then i've seen people thinking it's Sombra from Overwatch...
I wouldn't say they're destroying an iconic character... and Laura definitely is a shallow character, but she has a distinct face and body, like most SF characters.

They definitely missed the mark on it.

Sombra isn't thick or built like Laura. But I've seen the comparisons drawn between the two.

$440 is a good price though.
How is $440 remotely even a good price for this? You can get Zangief and Ken Ultra for less than this on Sideshow (both marked down, saying a lot about their value).

Juri Ultra retail costs about the same and so does Ibuki. All of these are far more complex than this Laura statue.

This Laura is far overpriced, plain and simple. Shouldn’t be anything more than $300.

No news on the sculptor.. I did spot this info:

'PCS Can we get the names of who all worked on this (Laura) ?' -

Mike Najera - Painter
Edwin Huang + Ant Adams - Concept art

'they are working on getting me the second one but I can’t say the name.' - Mike Najera

'you won’t have to wait too long since SDCC is near, think they will have both on display?
But don’t hold me to it as I just freelance painter for them.'
- Mike Najera

My guess is Chun-Li will be up next

It's current market prices, stop comparing it to statues that went up for pre-order well over 18 months ago.

And comparing to released pieces that are marked down? What are you talking about.

A 1/4 statue with an art print on a base using clear resin for $440 in the current marketplace is a very good price.

No one is making 1/4 Statues for $300, you are in a dream world if you think this should only be $300.

Your're smoking crack.

If this was a sideshow premium format it would be at least $575, the crab would be the EX on a proximity base.

$440 for a 1:4 scale statue in this market is a damn good price!

In comparison Prime 1 1:4 Street Fighter statues will probably be around $900'ish when they go up for pre-order soon.

The best display option might be this. The vest offers biggest clue as to who the character is.

Looking at the vest, they possibly could have made it look more wavy - something light blowing in the wind. In it's current state, it has slab qualities. A weapon to be used against an opponent.

I’m in the minority, but if the breasts were accurately bigger I’d be extremely happy with this statue.

I like most every other aspect.

However, if I were art director I’d definitely NOT have her holding that jersey.

I’d have her hands in her hair/behind her head, and the jersey would be MM so it could be put ON the character as a display option (like in the game!).

What a terrible oversight to omit that option.

Because as is, the jersey is extremely stiff and somewhat pointless.

But I like this line, and the idea behind breaking away from the same old sh!t.
