i am looking to cast the body this (now finished):
i have already cast the head using 2 part mould technique.
i am looking to use this method again, but the cost of 2 - 3kg of RTV is prohibitive.
i am looking into using a thixo technique this time, but not sure on the best method of bulking out/supporting the thixo/silicone mould.
Would plaster of paris be suitable?
(i guess fibreglass is prefered, but this is to be done in the kitchen)
