I agree. The original paint job was never that good. I have two of these Death Dealers myself, so I've seen the original paint job in person.
If you want to repair the statue yourself, then you should strip off all the paint (with oven cleaner, acetone or lacquer thinner), repair the damage with some Aves Apoxie Sculpt (or Magic Sculpt), then sand the excess epoxie putty so that it's can't be seen when you prime it. Afterwards, you should commission someone to repaint it. You could have someone else repair the statue for you, but the repair work isn't that hard.
I've seen some awesome Death Dealer repaints on this forum but I cant remember the people who did them. The final repainted statue will look ten times better than the original.
