She should at least look the part of an Amazon.

To me characters like Superman and Wonder Woman are supposed to channel classic mythology, where the gods have bodies literally chiseled to be the peak of human capabilities. Muscular yet flexible, big yet not a musclehead or fat, slim yet built, busty and wide hips yet not too soft or fragile looking. I don't really look for either of those two characters for realism. Superman should, in my opinion, look beyond human in his build. Wonder Woman to me should also do so, but in a more feminine way. Like a character such as Chun Li, I imagine Wonder Woman to have a bit more meat on her bones, but also show some muscle in the legs and arms. I think Frank Cho's build for his girls (and Wonder Woman since he has drawn her) is closest to how I imagine the character should look.
Those who say she shouldn't look sexy or curvy, I have to completely disagree. She should look very appealing and alluring, but also impossible to achieve. Her and Superman should be "god-like." Something you strive for, but can never reach as a human. Long story short, this statue is awesome. The curves are there, her face is beautiful, her hair is on point, and yet her arms and her back and her legs show some muscle definition that is beyond your average female, but also not so toned that it is akin to a weightlifter. Once again, not easily achievable, which is the point.
Even in a realistic setting, neither of these characters should be realistic looking. It just doesn't make sense. A character within their world should take one look at them and be shocked/impressed. One thing I absolutely hate seeing on these forums is people posting pictures of real people and then comparing them to statues of comic book characters. How far can you miss the point?

And even Gal added some size/definition to her frame upon taking up the role.
If she looked as slender as she did in the Fast/Furious franchise, it would've taken me out of it.

Very well said. Although I don't mind people posting real life "examples" as much.
I love Frank Cho's take on WW also. My personal favorite has to be Adam Hughes.

Same. He's my favorite artist when it comes to drawing females.

Is it a known thing that they changed the flames?
Second pic is from the Batman reveal.
I think it's an improvement.
The head looks different to me too. Like she's looking in a different direction and the sweep of her hair seems different. Just the angle?

Both look great to me, I'd be thrilled if final product looked like either.
