Scores just lack the big main themes these days...Jurassic World is a recent one that had its own theme. Captain America 1 too and phase 1 Marvel movies now that i think about it.

I think that you and I get different things from movies scores, and that's completely fine.
To me, the soundtracks/scores you mentioned are fantastic, but they're so ingrained into my memory as pop-culture they don't carry the same resonance anymore.
Let me explain my reasoning. When I listen to a soundtrack, I am looking for something that will enhance, or stir something inside of me, especially when I'm working. If I put on John Williams' Indiana Jones theme, I can't work. All I can think about is Indiana Jones. The piece is so evocative, underpinned with the character of Indy that I can't sit there and listen to the music on it's own merit anymore.
That's my 'problem' (not a problem at all really because I love those scores), with those pieces, they're great, but in the same way as that dog-earred book I've read 100 times, it doesn't move me in the same way it used to.
I get a similar feeling when I think about the Beatles or the Stones, they're so ingrained in my psyche as being 'great' that I would never now count them amongst my favourites. They're just there.
I'm not sure I've made my point eloquently enough, but anyway, I think the whole point of the music is to evoke something in us, and if you get the same feeling from listening to William's Superman theme that I get from listening to Inception's
Time, then your choice is equally as valid. I don't think there are any wrong answers here.
