Digital sculpt from photo reference

...Hello Everyone...maybe the question is studid so i apologize in advance, but was wondering..i'd like to have a Madonna Statue commission (The pop singer)..but i'm a little concerned about the likeness..had a few option in the past with traditional sculptong but it ended up a disaster, so the question...is someway possible with digital sculpt to "Import" or "render" the likeness from a reference photo? So that one can work on the likeness starting from the given photo?

ok thanks!!

I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

There are ways to use a series of photo's to get a digital scan of a face but you need multiple angles shot under the same lighting conditions, so probably not possible without Madonna's co-opperation.

Zbrush(and probably Mudbox) have tools that allow you to overlay a photo over your sculpture as you sculpt. These tools are useful but you're still very much at the mercy of the sculptor's ability.
