I wish Prime 1 was partnering with Blitzway on their Lord of the Rings statues.

I do think that Prime 1 are very much going the way of Sideshow, which is really sad to see, and I hope they manage to reverse this decline. However, that image is fairly low quality and seems to have some kind of smoothing going on. We've seen time and time again that one bad image early on can worry us unnecessarily. I'd probably reserve judgement for better pictures. I'm surprised they released that, you'd think they would know better by now...

It's not. I don't really mind that though. I'm more concerned with getting the character right than the actor's likeness.

Well....that was unsurprising.

Good old - typical - Prime 1 "quality".

If collectors who bought this are happy, then that's great - I'd rather hunt down the old Sideshow / Weta piece - it's a similar quality for a fraction of the price.

At this point - I'm not even bashing Prime1, the company is a joke - I just can't take them seriously.

For me it depends how they marketed this piece and if it's supposed to have actor likeness? If so, then they missed the boat. In fact, they are looking for a boat and found a train... It's laughably bad.

However, it if was never supposed to be a movie collectable, then I think the piece will be received ok. Just depends on what your expectation is.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

I don’t have skin in the game, but the likeness is not there. Face looks like it’s stretched a bit too wide, like Vigo had some HGH injections From the top angle it’s a bit better though.

I could have sworn the likeness on the proto was pretty good…

If you take a look at the P1 website - it references the film again and again. It's clearly supposed to be Aragorn from the Peter Jackson movie - therefore, it's "supposed" to look like the Actor - it's the reason they're charging over $1k for this trash - before shipping and taxes!!

I was just watching The Batman Statue Collector on YouTube, and he was complaining about the cost of the upcoming Queen Studio Loki - hot damn, I imagine he'd have a heart attack if he saw this turd.

But, I'll stop here - if people are happy with this in any capacity, then seriously, fair play. I don't want to ruin anyone's fun or anticipation. It's not my cup of tea, but that's just my subjective opinion.
