I think concept A is a great piece of art, but wouldn't translate as well to a statue.

I'm already struggling over the neck as it is...

However this angle is the worst

I understand that I likely won't be looking at it from that angle but it looks like some mutated turkey neck/skull...

There is not yet a Thread Prime 1 Studio 1/4 Marvel Spiderman..??

Imaginarium art has in FB photos of the creation by computer of the base and another one of spiderman.
There is also a photo published with spiderman with a hat of Santa Claus and another photo with spiderman with a pump of the green goblin.

I would not know if it's a comic book or movie spiderman statue..??

Probably a comic spiderman, but with two serious errors:

1. The black stripes and eyes look like the costumes of the movies.

2. In the photo of spiderman with the hat of Santa Claus, I can see on the back a spike or fine leg, as if the spiderman back spider was that of the movies and not the classic circular spider.

Probably a comic-based spiderman, probably has three heads as anti-venom or venom..
Maybe we get a classic head, another mcfarlane style head (as venom) and finally an Alternate portrait revealing Peter Parker's face (as spiderman 2099).

"But prime 1 can not use classic comic heads and use a spider on the backs of movies.."

It is possible to do this question in the Prime 1 Q & A Thread:
Are you working on a spiderman based on comic or film?
The costume spider on the backs is the classic round/circle or the thin of films?

Pictures of the render have been removed, as the license for the piece is not yet confirmed. As such, the designer has asked us to lay low until everything is legally agreed upon.

Concept A looks good but the problem with the crouching venom pose is that all the new Spiderman piece (SS, IS, XM, Prime1) have Spiderman in some kind of aerial pose. A crouching Venom statue risks looking too small against these new flying spider-man poses. This may have played a role in Prime1's decision.

Concept B is the best because when the character looks down to the other, it makes him more powerful and menacing. When a character is looking up, it shows less power/control and sometimes threatened by somebody.

Also, let`s consider the time and efford the producers, directors and artists gotta have to make all these pieces. We can`t have every variation of a character`s design and pose we want, guys.
This Venom turned out pretty amazing!
