I question whether the articulation of the hands is a superior solution to seamless wrists over INARTs solution of swap out, magnetized forearms + hands.
At least from a cost/benefit standpoint for the consumer/collector.

No question that it will be more seamless (for some figures) in terms of looking more realistic and consistent with the skin on the face and neck.

Articulated skeleton under silicone and the magnetized eyeballs are very nice, worthy premium refinements for this category of collectible.

The first few Hot Toys I ever saw over a decade ago impressed the hell out of me. Amazing how archaic most of those seem now.

I really don’t get how this is beneficial when this character is mostly covered by clothing.

This will probably be VERY expensive.

I was not planning to get this, but this video changed my mind. I am sure it willbe hard to get a hand on one of these.

Yeah, this is why my biggest thought in the news thread was that this line was going to cut out a lot of buyers. It?s easy to imagine these being well over the $1000 mark.

Being HL Joker, the first silicone jointless 1:6 and and limited numbered edition, this will probably sell out very quickly.

I can see people selling Inart and Hot Toys to get this.

No doubt.
In fact, I'd argue that an articulated interior skeleton, under silicone, is going to be more expensive to produce than a fixed figure, with the same exterior media and materials, scaled twice as large.
The only break on the 1/6 would be shipping package size/cost.

They aren't showing it- and may not have even engineered it- but a revolutionary improvement to these would be articulating the skeleton in the shoulder/neck area. Something that no one has done yet, to the best of my knowledge.
No matter what they cost, all action figures now look like kid's toys once you raise the arms above mid sternum, because the shoulder to neck is fixed in place. Raising them above the head just looks silly.

If they can create a skeleton/armature that will realistically compress the shoulders and neck as the arms are raised, in addition to a seamless covering of silicone skin- that's it. They will have left every other figure maker in the dust.

Yeah, maybe I'm underestimating how well this would do. You're probably right.

For this one, they will be fine. Likeness seems good too.

For the next releases I am not sure.

I watched the video they produced. Nice that there are some innovations here...but those innovations will come with a cost.

Congrats (I think) to 1/6 scale figure collectors for having another option out there.
