I wasn't aware that the Symbiote suit actually physically transformed the human host by elongating the jaw, I thought the regular human Eddie Brock was still under there like what is shown in the Sideshow diorama, that new head sculpt looks like Eddie is literally changing into Venom like a Werewolf or something.
I always thought of Venom like the Guyver, a bio boosting suit worn around a human body.

True, but i have a counterquestion.

If venom screams loud with a open wide mouth, do you see Brocks face deep back in the mouth?

From this point there must be anything transformed. From the artist view it´s more modern to show it like that.

I'll just put it down to the great mysteries of comic books, like how the Green goblin gets so many facial expressions while wearing a rubber mask or how Supermans civilian disguise is a pair of glasses.

The transforming head does look bad-ass though, its like something from The Thing.

Last time I checked the host is not physically transformed. This new portrait is definitely taking creative liberties with the Venom concept.
