Dragonlance, especially the original 3 books are great and I wanted them to be turned into something. However I don't think they aged well?
The Deathgate Cycle from the same authors would be an impressive TV series.

You don't know Drizzt... I have never thought that i will see the day which someone knows about Dragon Lance and doesn't know about Drizzt of The Forgotten Realms. You should probably give Drizzt a chance but you probably won't like it, if you are not 14 or 15 or something... lol
Deathgate is amazing ! as far as i remember. Better than Dragon Lance, i read 8 Forgotten Realms, 12 Dragon Lance books, 6 books of Ravenloft or something like that and Death Gate like 19 years ago. So i don't remember them very well.

I think Amazon picked it up to do a TV show for their streaming service?

Ahh "Forgotten Realms", yeah that rang a bell, quick google reveals a familiar logo... not sure why I never read them.
Yeah, I'd say Deathgate was better than Dragon Lance. After all, the authors said Dragon Lance was basically them scripting out a D&D game :P

The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. A relatively new series in context to most of the suggestions her, but an amazing read that I think would make an awesome film adaptation.

Seriously? Ahh, man...I hope they don't do a half ***** job of it. I absolutely love it, and have been wanting to see it given the justice it deserves. In fact, I'd rather they didn't do it at all than see them put out an inferior product. If it's amazing though, I'll be one happy Silmarillion fan. I just worry about the budget they'll have for a cable series as opposed to a big budget movie series.
