i got a kick out of the Terminator font as well

the only thing i will say with the long jaw, humans can extend their jaw from the natural position if they are making a mean face or scowl.

I do think your edits look better, but the original looks like the motorcycle scene i posted with the Prime 1 comparison where his jaw looks longer because he's making a mean face.

Very easy fixes. Given how much simpler this was to edit than Prime 1's photos, I think Oniri got more things right, it's just that the areas they got wrong are more distracting.

There are some shots in the film where the chin looks sizable. I think bringing the bottom of it up while keeping the chin "bump" big is the key. Straightening the jaw and bringing in the cheek fat also helps minimize the look of it.
Well done, would have looked really great like this.

ps. I don't know what he is chewing in yours.. Lol..

It's beginning to feel that way with a number of licenses...

EDIT: According to their Facebook there are only 250 pieces left.

If they do improve the sculpt, it'll be after all units have sold and entirely out of the goodness of their hearts. Not a gamble I'm willing to make with any company in 2022.

Meh, the 250 was probably bought by all the retailers. Just like how quickly Robo was "sold out", but still available at SpecFiction right now.

Me neither, to big gamble for sure. Companies always promise the highest quality available with superior end result. But it is the factory who determine real outcome and subpar during last stages won't be addressed 99% of time.

Indeed, with so many retailers, the allotment percentage is already very high and does not give a clear view.

Every time I asked about The Terminator Oniri would say they are going through the process of approval and wanted to be perfect.

After what they came up with, if anyone think that they will listen to complains and make tweaks to the statue, you are deceiving yourselves.

They went back and forth and people thought it was great enough to release and I doubt they will change their mind after reading comments from collectors. It is what it is and they are probably pretty happy considering they have sold more than half already.

My take? I moved on and contacted other companies like XM, Sideshow and Prime 1 to suggest a new 1/4 Terminator, maybe a Tech Noir or a new Police station scene. It will take a while but we will see another one.

Fingers crossed

...I'm waiting since 20 years that a company will take the risk and bring a Tech Noir Terminator statue or bust. (I don't collect Hot Toys) They all only go with the usual, well known Terminator model: sunglasses & leatherjacket. Maybe they think only that generates sales. But judging Oniri's latest release and also Prime 1's half-scale, they aren't even capable to nail the resemblance anymore.

It really makes me wonder about the competence of these companies. Or should I say - lack of competence.

I know actor likeness is somewhat of a subjective topic, but these guys have it so wrong it's almost a joke.
