GDC: Nintendo's Kii-Note Address Today News

At 10:30am PST Nintendo started it's "Kii-Note" address on the future of Nintendo of course. I'll keep you posted and updated if I can.

It's been a slow couple of weeks for a gaming news brief and I'm trying to gather as much info as I can to make a podcast by the end of this week. So bear with me.

All I can say is that Phil Harrison top dog at Sony is sitting front row at Nintendo's speech, no doubt waiting to hear what else he can steal from Nintendo and put into his system. Apparently this happened:

A kid in the front row shouted at Reggie "REGGIE! You gotta kick some ass and take some names!"

"Like who?!" Reggie shouted back

"Phil Harrison, FRONT ROW!" The kid says

"I think we already did that" Says Reggie

The nearby crowd laughs, as is appropriate.

Well apparently all they talked about was what they went through to get the Wii and DS out, and the risks they took, and the innovation and the ability to convert non gamers into gamers. No new hardware updates or announcements either.

It is also said that Nintendo is doing a big share trade in Japan in a few days and were required to NOT let out any information regarding any future advancements.

So a bit of a letdown but with Nintendo you know it'll only get better.
