The problem I have is not with the gems themselves...its the gold circular housing that the gems sit into. It stands out like a sore thumb. However, even with the less than stellar gauntlet, this is still a phenomenal throne piece of worthy villain of epic proportions.

There was a side-by-side pic on one of the Facebook groups of live pictures of the gauntlet turned on and off. The gems have the M&M look only when the light is on. When the lights are off the gems look similar to the proto.

You honestly think it will fetch $4-5K?

Wishful thinking!
The EX! The EX! The REG around 3k. But not from day1, give them 3 years+. I have seen this happening MANY times in other markets (watches, wines etc). The same rules apply. Apart from some earlier posts where i explained how this market and other similar markets work, theres another reason. Or maybe 2

You all forget why ALL of our statues will appreciate 10 or 15 years from now...Whoever gets what are these 2 factors, i will re-name him/her mini-forps... Im just kidding!

Total Es matters my friend. That will determine the true value of any statue out there.

Exactly, especially with the "flipping/reselling" mentality that is embroiled so deeply into this hobby, it is ridiculous, I've never seem anything quite like it. Maybe Funcoland?

There's no way in 3 years with a $1000+ price tag which is treated as a "huge" price tag, with an ES of 5000 total, that there will not be 30+ for sale at all times on eBay in 3 years, 5 years and so forth.

Please consider how many statues are being added to the market yearly.
