Now this is a very interesting development. What does it mean for distributors like Sideshow long term. I prefer the cost savings to shipping, reward points, and potential discounts from Sideshow but I think the real threat would be the exclusives. Will they continue through Sideshow or direct only. Nice to see another option where Sideshow has a little competition even though local stateside advantage with cost. Interested to hear people's experience buying direct.

I don't think this will change anything for American consumers. P1 will continue to sell to americans via sideshow meanwhile some other parts of the world will prefer to buy directly from the p1 website because their shipping cost will be lower in those nations.

It makes zero sense for p1 to limit relegate the purchase of most of their statues to their website.

After seeing this thread. This is my last P1 piece until Lee Batman or maybe DK Joker. I think people are tapped out at these prices. These 1:3 have low Es and are priced closely to SS 1:4 sometimes.
It's all about the waiting game for a lot of new pieces coming out. Aftermarket is probably the best bet. Hate to say it but. Only hardcore fans or new collectors are gonna po half the statues up front. A lot of new collectors coming in the game from their love of movies or a videogame- are the people I see not wanting these down the road. Real estate and bills happen.
These are not investments. These are the times where a lot more collectors are going to be very picky and I can only hope we see that affect the prices and with SS better packaging and more reasonable prices for High ES statues. Look at the ES on these P1 pieces. Es made for collectors. But I do think the price and amount of companies are having a huge impact.
Look at XM. Nothing is really sold out most the time. Just hoarded by flippers trying to make $$ sitting on their butts.
It's going to be interesting even six months down the line to see what changes start taking place by these companies marketing departments.
