I think people are putting too much stock in the last season. The show was never going to end the way most people wanted--too many characters and too many storylines to make everyone happy. I know they're doing stuff that I'm not exactly happy with due to my own expectations, but I think it's ridiculous to blow off the entire show because it's not ending how you want. We live in a knee-jerk reaction entitled society now though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised people are throwing a fit about it.

I await character selection, likeness, pricing, and scale (I know 1/4 was stated but I can't imagine a 1/4 scale dragon if they make one) before committing.

They won't do a 1/4 adult dragon. If anything, they could do (and this is what I'm hoping for) a Dany with the three baby dragons.

I actually enjoyed the twist on episode 5 in spite of the WTFness of it.
