Netflix Love, Death and Robots

New TV-MA animated series from Tim Miller and David Fincher. Season 1 includes a 18 shorts.

I quite liked the series. Anyone else finished watching all 18 episodes and ready for spoiler discussions?

I smashed this out in one sitting, and been spreading the word to friends and family since, I love anthology stuff but it's rarely done, and definitely not as well as this, virtually all of the shorts were fantastic in either aesthetic, story or message, really enjoyed it!

Everything about this show is of the highest quality. The animation is varied and distinct for each episode. Some of which I have never seen anything like it before, specifically the episode titled "The Witness". As good as the animation is, the true hallmark of this series is the storytelling. While some are weaker than others, each story's direction, writing, and pacing is expertly executed. Some stories are not wholly original, but again its the way they are packaged that displays creativity and no restrictions, that sets it apart from other anthology shows. Other stories are simply downright wacky, like "When The Yogurt Took Over", whereby scientists accidentally breed super-intelligent yogurt. Some stories simply blow your mind away, like "Zima Blue", an artist that displays his creations in galactic proportions. Collectively, the series leads to an amalgam of horror, humor, action and human tragedy. It's not to be missed.

My favorites are Sonnie's Edge, The Witness, Sucker of Soules, Good Hunting, Zima Blue, and the Secret War. Out of these, I would give it to Sonnie's Edge... that was my first entry into the show and it just blew my mind!!!!

I think there is a lot of variety in this series and a lot to like. It's tough picking my top three favorites. In no order and without spoilers:

Ep.2 Three Robots - no real plot here but entertaining premise and dialogue

Ep. 11 Helping Hand - great use of the short format, although can be difficult for some people to watch.

Ep. 18 Secret War - this is like act 3 to a movie I wish had been made.

Very good series! Reminds me of the old Aeon Flux animated series on MTV.

I think every episode gets a different reaction...fear, shock, suprise, appreciation, tears...
I really thought they were all great.

I loved the first, Sonnie's Edge. I think most in here will like that one.
Zima Blue made me emotional.
Three Robots was hilarious.
Beyond the Aquila Rift was horrifying.
They are all great and stand apart.

I jope this series is continuos. The art is fantastic.
