The predator 8/10
I put off seeing this due to the bad reviews and as usual I disagree with the majority. I found it an entertaining watch, story was decent enough as was the action not sure exactly what people didn’t like

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Pretty much everything. Forced humor, mediocre effects, annoying characters, cheesy acting, a nonsensical narrative, terrible editing and flow. Worst film I saw in 2018.

Let's not forget bad acting. The only good thing about the movie was when the credits rolled.

And that’s exactly why I try not to bother reading reviews of films as I disagree with all those points, a lot of people doomed the film to fail before they’d even seen it. I wonder if the original was released today it would be such a hit or get panned? I love the 1st predator as well btw, but I love all these type of films for what they are, brain out fun fests. I’m not going in expecting Oscar worthy performances or in depth story lines.
Though our tastes are obviously very different as you rate dredd 10/10 and I’d say it was barely equal to the predator
