GotG2, to me, was an awful film. When Pratt and Russell started playing catch my son and I nearly left the theater. The first movie, and I know I’m in the minority, is one of my least favorite Marvel movies. Some good moments but, overall, didn’t work for me. I was hoping he’d stay off thei franchise just to boost the quality of the films.

Cheesy moment to be sure, but I loved the overall humor and character driven performances. I know the Pac-Man bit also made some cringe, and I won't argue with those who felt it wasn't funny or uncalled for, but again for me a small hiccup that doesn't derail from the core of the film.

The fact that they were keeping Gunn's script for GOTG 3 is part of the reason I'm glad he's back. If they were going completely in a new direction with the story then I would be more open to a new director.
I wasn't the biggest fan of vol 2.

Disney got sucked in with all the "SJW" politically correct nonsense that is sweeping through all the social networks, I think in the future companies won't be so quick to judge and convict.... I think companies are also finding out all these "outraged people" on social media are actually a very small minority...
I'm sure Disney was also surprised when Warner Brothers hired him and there was no "fan outrage" over it... if anything people were praising Warner Bro's for doing it.... Will probably get one of the best DC movies out of Gunn..
As for GotG, it's defiantly one of my favorite Marvel franchises... given the 2nd movie did have a couple of cringe worthy moments but overall I still laughed my ass off.... Can't wait for the 3rd one....

Glad to see Gunn back in the saddle, as well, but....
Can we puh-leeeze get through just one steenkin' movie thread without "SJW" being mentioned?? Just one? Pretty please? Like the man said, "Let it go."
DEF-IN-ITELY Dang it! DEFINITELY! Aaaargh!!!
