If I remember correctly, every piece on American soil went through their qc. So that should include domestic distributors. I may be wrong.

It's not the case that every BO rex was touched up before it was sent out, some may have been, although none that I have ever seen looked close to the original prototype

Oh, I am fairly certain CC only QC'd, those ordered directly from them. I checked the Breakout Rex forum, they arrived in port around 3/22 and BBTS shipped mine 3/30 (from WI).

But if it's better than the scare photo, you can be the judge:
1st is one of the pics that started to worry so many
2nd my own

Both of mine looked better than most of the pics I saw. They of course were not near as detailed as the proto, but still not nearly as bad as some of the examples we have seen.

I'm fairly certain you are wrong. I ordered day one and mine looked like the one on the right.

Then you may not want to look at pics of this bust...

Oh i saw them. The bust looks absolutely incredible and will probably be my favourite rex.. i'll just have to repaint it, like i'll do with the Breakout soon. Not happy about it, but what else can i do? Its the only way to own a licensed T-rex head directly from an original SWS maquette, thanks to Jonathan.

The factory did really good on this btw (just look at the teeth and mouth in general), i just wish Chronicle could improve their prototypes for these rexes.
We need dark browns (not really dark, but not light) under the tons of shades of blacks of the animal, and brown in general should be the main tone, not that cream which should cover a 35-40% max of the overall animal and not 90%.
