Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated
I haven't seen any posts on this... Now that I have a 2 year-old, I spend the majority of my time watching cartoons (once again!), and one of the best surprises has been the most recent Scooby-Doo series: Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. This premiered in July of 2010 and had a 14-episode run but has not yet been renewed due to contract issues. The animation is updated, the story lines are darker and more mature, and the humor is more like what you'd see on Adult Swim, rather than the slapstick gags of the old shows. There's even an overarching storyline running throughout the episodes. I haven't enjoyed Scooby and the gang in years, but man, this revamped version is excellent. I'm hoping they can get their contractual issues worked out. Check it out if you have a chance.

Not sure, that was the only reason given for the delays. But I agree - it's a cartoon for Pete's sake!

My kids especially my daughter are obsessed with Scooby Doo so I've been watching a lot of him including this show and I have to say it is the best incarnation of Scooby Doo since 1969's Scooby Doo Where Are You?. It would suck if the show didn't return.
By the way the episode that I really got a kick out of was the one where they paid tribute to War of the Gargantuas, they even used the same song track for the boat singer that was used in the original film.

"Battle of the Humungonauts"... Pretty cool episode with some Kirby-style monsters.
Another episode has a dream sequence where Scooby teams up with Captain Caveman, Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy, and the Funky Phantom, animated in the style of the classic cartoons. Great stuff!
And another episode is inspired by the works of HP Lovecraft. Now THAT'S a crossover that needed to happen.

WOOOOOO!
I watched a couple of hour-long cartoons released prior to Mystery Incorporated that used the same voice actors and style of writing: Camp Scare and Abracadabra-Doo. This show has been reborn, and I love it.
