You guys talked me into seeing this. Was gonna see Pacific Rim 2 or Black panther (still haven’t seen it yet) but, gonna go see this instead first.

Good, it’s a good one, especially if you grew up in the 80s.

Do NOT waste money on Pacific Rim 2 because it was freaking horrible. Ready Player One was awesome!

I thought it was just okay. I'm the target of this movie as I got the references and all, but unlike something like Roger Rabbit the new original characters did nothing for me.

High light: Gundam fights Mechagodzilla, I smile like an idiot.
Low light: Opening that tells the audience everything rather than just show them.

Oh yeah. I was born in 1976. So I was an 80’s kid.

Pacific Rim 2 is definitely not as good as the first one...but I still enjoyed it.

Gotta go see Ready Player One next.

Saw it and enjoyed it quite a bit. Good little adventure flick.

Annoyed me how with some references they assumed the common folk wouldn't get they'd have the characters go all "holy crap, it's X from Y!!!" while other references everyone just brushes off.

Anyway, the biggest surprise was how much my missus loved the movie... she's still talking about it 3 days later. She hates both action movies and movies with too much CG.... so Spielberg did something right.

I wasn't going to include spoilers, however someones already mentioned it.... the Gundam fight at the end... man o man. I totally saw it as a giant middle finger to the live TF movies. Transformers totally don't need to look like weird shrapnel spiders at all!

Here's a great music clip from Gunship, it's the RP1 story but based on the book. So don't click unless you want spoilers:
