The wife agreed to let my use our vacation to visit the Frazetta museum (which only has those painting Frank Jr has, but that is another story) in Stroudsberg PA which is only 80 miles from NY so we went there too for a few days.
We stayed at the Hilton in times square and then used one of those "hop on hop off" open top bus deals to get around and see stuff.
I was advised not to bring my car but I did anyway and everyone was right. Once I got to the hotel just parked it for $42 per night and never drove it again until time to leave
I had thought of letting all of my NY friends know I was coming and see if we could get together for a drink or something but then I thought after getting the green light for Frazetta using another vacation night to hang out at Hooters with fellow statue geeks might be a bit too much to ask.
