I don't know, lighting or not he looks pretty dark to me, the girl would be under the same lighting and she is much lighter I agree there is something "off" about the current color but I think it is more the low areas, it just doesn't look realistic but I don't think it is necessarily too dark

I love what they did with the paint job, just a matter of preference I guess...personally I see the skin tone as a mix of bronze with an olive hue to it.

Agreed, I hope they don't lighten it up to a point that it is like the tone in rage of the undying, the brutal, or any number of others. Don't get me wrong, those are great and skin tone is fine on them but this one should reflect the painting to the extent possible IMO.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Looking at the differences in opinions here and the number of repaints that were done on Moore's sculpt, i would say it's really a matter of personal taste. Obviously frazettas painting left a lot to interpretation when translating to 3d. I see huge differences when looking at the sculpt under different lighting and also when looking at photos on different monitors; some are calibrated lighter, some are darker. I'm actually planning to paint one for myself just for fun lol

ReTardist you did such an amazing job on the sculpt. the dark paint up and the lighter colored veins looks like worms crawling on him. Maybe just from the lighting. I sorta wished there was a little more liberty taken with conan's feet though.
