"IT" 2017 NOW WITH SPOILERS

I couldn't find another thread for this, if there is admin please merge and accept my apologies.

Record breaking movie it seems!

My wife made me see this on Friday night. I dislike clowns, not a phobia but I just don't like them. Therefore I avoided the original movie, book, tv show like the plague. Needless to say this movie was horrific.

BUT

I'm fascinated by the story now. I want to know more about "IT". Thinking of reading the book. Anyone else see it? Can we make this a spoiler thread to discuss?

Loved the original tv miniseries when it came out and I love this version. Definitely earned it's R rating but wasn't just about the scares and gore, it had a great story and interaction between the kids. Kinda feeling like I want to read the book also and no other King movie has ever made me do that.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I felt there was "more going on" to this Pennywise character.... but I watched some videos explaining it and I don't know if I want to go back and read the book now... lol.... sounds like the backstory I want isn't the one that was created. An interdimensional turtle??

Pennywise 2017 Statue

Would love a high end statue of Pennywise 2017 and stumbled here looking for any word of one in the works!

Read the book, listened to the audiobook, grew up to the ABC mini series, and loved the new movie and have watched it thrice!

I liked it a lot too, felt like Stranger Things. Very well done and creepy. That said, I rewatched the original and still really liked it too, well except the spider ending. Is that how he book ended?

Overall, I still prefer Tim Curry's Pennwise, that voice!
But both are great! Can't wait for Part II!

I might give IT a chance. I've seen the original IT, and liked it (bar the Spider, which was a major let down). I think the clown looks more scary less stylized than the 2017 clown.

Having never read the book, i wonder which film is closer to the book?
