Solo 6/10
If Hand and Chewie hadn't been in it i'm not sure I would have known it was a Star Wars Movie

Venom - 3/10
And I’m being generous. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I give it a 3 just because I like the character but the movie was really awful.

If that was DCU's best, then they have a long way to go.

What?? It's at least 9/10. Ares was kind of lame though.

Solo: A Star Wars Story 6/10
Better than expected. Not a patch on A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back, but superior to the lousy 3/10 Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Unlike A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, which i have watched many times, i doubt i'll watch Solo a 2nd time. That kinda says it all. Some movies are classic's, while others are a bit of fun, all too easily forgotten.

I don't think WW was a 4/10 but it wasn't a 9/10 either, I'd give it 7/10 and that's being generous...
The villain was lame, a lot of the movie had really bad CGI especially in the beginning when they were on the island... Gadot is an average actress at best, she did ok with the part but played it very vanilla, I think a more experienced actress would of brought more to the character....
This movie was really over hyped due to the whole feminist movement....

You can't objectively look at that film and give it a 9.

Yup on the villain, yup on the CGI but also, the script, the dialogue and the acting.
Look, if you guys want to give it a high rating, that's fine. However the scale we're using here is out of 10, meaning 5 is a pass. I give movies I like a 6. I didn't like this, I don't think it deserves a pass mark. If you want I'll nudge it up to a 4.5 but that's the highest I'll go.
If it wasn't a Wonder Woman movie, if it wasn't for the hype and if Gadot wasn't smoking hot, this movie would have barely registered and certainly wouldn't have been given a 9 by anyone.

Venom 7/10. Missing that Marvel/Disney magic that connects you to the characters.

Toni Erdmann (2016) - A practical joking father tries to reconnect with his hard working daughter by creating an outrageous alter ego and posing as her CEO's life coach.
This is my second viewing and knowing where it's going this time made it very enjoyable watching the comical evolution of the father-daughter relationship. It received an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film last year. 9/10
