Fabulous! Bendis and Maleev on Spider-Woman! The only drawback is that Maleev doesn't like costumes, and she has the best one in comics. Still, i's going to be great!

Thanks MD!

Has he gone on record as saying that he doesn't like costumes?
That would suck!!!
(And I am begging Bendis not to forget that weird, bizarre, supernatural tone that some of Jessica's best early stories had.
That was what appealed to me a lot about her book...she fiit in several niches: street-lever, Batman-type stories, Espionage/International Intrigue AND demonic/occult stories.
I want some nekra and morgan and Chthon with my Vipers, Shields and Hydras!!!

Don't like that image too much. I think she has a little too much upstairs and the hairs not right.

I read it somewhere (Wizard or Newsarama, most likely) in an article about DD. You don't see him in costume too much, but hopefully the inner fanboy in Bendis will twist his arm. I hope the flavour of the new book is exactly as you describe.

Oh, and Bullseye, MD and I have discussed before that we're not exactly sold on Cho's Spider-Woman, largely for the reasons you point out...

I'm pleased he is handling neither series. I was crossing my fingers for JRJr though...

Yeah....as much as I love Cho's art in general, (and I absolutely appreciate the voluptuousness of his women), I think gigantic breasts don't become Spider-Woman (or any superheroine, really)

You guys remember when Jim Balent drew Catwoman for the longest time?
See, his art is so dynamic and crisp, and recently, he has actually improved even more, his pencils are so much more realistic and exquisite, BUT...what he has NOT changed is his fixation in drawing women with impossibly large breasts.

EDIT to add:
JDH, I would've loved for Romita Jr to tackle Spider-Woman....OMG that would've totally killed me!!!!!!

Romita would be great. But i'd prefer him to go back to Spidey first.

Great news... Great News... There were some Daredevil Stories I wanted to read but didn't because I can't stane Maleev's art. But oh well, I look forward to reading the new Spider-Woman stuff. Boy it's great to be Spider-Woman's #1 fan. Hell they should have called me and asked who I wanted to draw it...heehee.

It's also great to be Spider-Woman's # 2 fan!!!!

(though I am # 1 on other places on the net, I should tell ya!!!

Seriously, I am so psyched...Maleev is too stylized for me taste (awesome artist, don't get me wrong), I like his stuff, but I also would've preferred a more dynamic, crisp, kinetic style of art for SW....
Well, in any case i am still ALL OVER THIS!!!!!
