The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

And for AO Deathstroke duties and taxes ended up being $255. I’m in Ontario I can’t figure out what code they used. They could at least send along a pack of cigarettes, because I like to have a smoke right after I get f%#$ed.

EDIT: based on my calculations... that’s an extra 6%........ fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge

I'm a little annoyed that cBsA has yet replied back to my voice message regarding the letter why they sided with me. I have another 9 statues that I will be filing the case on to get my duty back. Luckily I have my cheques for refund songhe cases should be easier for me. This time, I'm going to ask them to write a letter supporting my case of the HS code.

Does that result in the extra "6%" tax ?

They were going to use DHL (with that code), but are now supposedly (after I requested a change) using FedEx (with that code).

Inconsistent - yes - BUT - if they DO use that code AND it's "duty free" - I won't complain

However, if they use "the BAD code", I'll simply put a claim in as we all should.

Will invoice Mon 9th Oct, I was told will ship within 24 hours of invoice, so should be in-hand Wed 11th - Fri 13th Oct.

I'll let everyone know what ACTUALLY ends up happening with the codes & charges.

I wonder if this works when driving pieces across the border instead of using a courier! Hmmm...thanks for keeping us posted!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

They told me that I can dispute it but they will charge me an extra CAD 15.00 on top of whatever new value I got because shipper's mistake (Sideshow).
I just paid for mine through FedEx. Colour me pleasantly surprised when they used the HS code 9503.00.90.89!! SS / CBSA used 3926.40.10.00 for my Dark Phoenix PF earlier in the year.

2 pcs statues received last week and paid the 13% tax (no duty).
1 pcs statue received this week and paid zero...no tax at all.

go figure.
