It's smaller on in drawing, but imagine the space the fire needs to be wrapped around Jean's body. Let alone the structural thickness needed to support the bird at the end.
This statue will be deep -- just like the current Phoenix. And with the wingspan of the bird, and it being off to the left of her, it will also be wide.
You know XM doesn't do small. It might be slightly smaller than the current XM Jean, but I see this being a space sucker too. Which is fine as long as it looks great.

Although it looks similar to regular Phoenix, I can't deny it looks great! Can't wait to see the printed piece!!

I hope the head sculpts are stunning on this piece. I passed on the XM Phoenix because at the end of the day, I just didn't like any of the head sculpts she came with. I can't bring myself to drop around a grand on something I don't love all the way around.

Wouldn't it be a nice treat if I could put the Dark Phoenix portaits on Jean?!
Just sayin, XM, that would be a nice treat since the Jean portraits are not really to the level any of the owners were expecting. (Me included). I love Jean, but she could (and should) be so much more.

We don't even know if the Dark Phoenix portraits will look good yet. We may get something similar to the green Phoenix release by XM. IMO, female portraits seem particularly difficult for XM to nail down.
