I have no issues with the new WW portrait. Not sure why people are complaining about her. I think it looks great.

I'm still a big fan of of it, too. The whole statue, in fact. But, I do recognize a difference between the proto and production pieces in regards to the portrait. Still a beautiful piece.

I have an extra portrait that I might get repainted just to see if the artist can capture that proto magic.

This piece is going to come down to how well the face and hair are done compared to proto. On the fence right now based on the one closeup photo - face paint app looked clean but made elektra look like she hasn’t eaten in a month and much older than she suppose to, which is a bit worrying. Need more photos.

Ss human females are always a lottery that’s why I never preorder anymore. For example, latest Black widow pf turned out great very close to proto, while latest Wonder Woman pf face was total crap, pretty much killed the statue, can’t even give it away at well below retail.

Now WW was one I never warmed to, still glad I cancelled.

They seem to be selling on eBay for about 20% below retail. Makes sense to me when the EX is still available from Sideshow.

I love the new Wonder Woman. They didn't quite match the proto portrait, but it's still my favorite Wonder Woman PF.

I don't think SS will ever match the proto on their faces. They just don't have the man power to police the painting of the 1000+ statues they make of a character.

XM and P1 can do it because they treat their statues as collectibles, have low edition sizes, and have people review the factory work. So it's not that SS has bad painters - I would say that over the past few years they have actually started holding them to a higher standard - it's just that SS isn't going to invest in major factory oversight.

Every female portrait I see I just assume you will get 85-90% proto quality. The fine details, richness, and depth will always be gone.

I don't regret mine. She looks great and happy to have her. I do think Sideshow goes bit overboard with Edition Size as expect this to be one still for sale on their site in 2022/2023.

Me too. No intention of parting with mine.
