Sorry, I've collected every issue of Uncanny since 270 (and have a straight run since 175) and those were the worst issue in my opinion. He had good ideas, and I loved hearing about them in interviews, but the execution was awful. Just my opinion though.

No he didn't pitch a fit, he was just frustrated that all the sneaks seemed to be of obscure silver age characters and the newer ones that have a bigger fan base like Dazzler were being ignored.

i love this--i think i've plastered it on the x-23 lobbying threads here & on jw a few times.
i sort of tear up over one panel (ish 42? 43?) after they get back from limbo, when it's mercury & laura & sooraya laying on the floor in the light from a window, just being girls. in the context of the story--how to be kids in all that craziness & violence--it was really sweet.

I disagree its some of the best X-Men in my opinion, it was far more character driven than story driven. I will give you the Nightcrawler's daddy story was total crap.
