Need advice on shipping within the US

I am not from the US and would like to know any suggestion on the cheapest, but safest way to ship a statue within the States.

I checked https://onlineshippingcalculator.com and https://www.parcelmonkey.com and got some rates which were quite good (given the size and weight of the box). However, I am not sure if I can rely on those websites.

The package needs to be picked up from a residence as there is a challenge in getting it dropped to the PO / courier place.

Any and every insight will be greatly appreciated!

I've seen people use pirateship.com and seem to like it...I've never tried it. As far as carriers go...people usually use USPS or UPS. I usually go USPS but have been told UPS is cheaper with bigger boxes. USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground if you're shipping a bigger box and don't want to pay up for Priority or whatever UPS's equivalent is. Signature Confirmation... Both USPS and UPS have calculators on their sites.

I can vouch for Pirate Ship, used several times, and their rates are usually a few bucks cheaper than buying labels directly through the main couriers.
