Wanting framing advice

Hey guys I am looking for a little advice. I got the cover art to cover B of Witchblade 169 awhile back and want to frame it right.

I was thinking of doing something like this that DC did for a Powergirl sketch cover. But not sure if those items are full sized or shrunk for the mass produced.

The cover is...

And cover art...

Does anyone else have any ideas how to frame it or examples of what others did?

if I ever get a cover I planned on using that exact style to frame it, I have a couple decent splash pages that I've also considered doing that way but they just don't have the same wow factor of a cover with it's printed self

Those do look good. My main problem is to get the parts (matting, frame, glass, ect...) and put it together myself. I have a Hobby Lobby and a Micheal's here and do not want to have them do most of it because then it counts as a "custom framing" job and those cost a boat load of cash.

I have a few more Witchblade page art from the recent (ended at 169) artist run because I found a site that sold the pages right after the book was out. Then a few from a Witchblade 'Shades of Grey' I think it was called. And an unused full cover for the "Victorias Secret Service".

Sorry for the bad pic, just had my iphone camera to work with.

As I said before I did not want to do a custom framing job via a store since they charge way too much. I went to Hobby Lobby and got the mat cut though the old lady did 2 practice ones. (I think it was her first week or something.) But its acid free.

Then I used a 65% off sale at Michaels to get a good 28x22 frame and assembled it at home. Only real hard part was the comic itself. I had to remove the staples and then cut off the cover with a little over hang to get it to stay in place.

Came out to be 36 bucks.

Is the backer acid free as well?

The backer is not. Its a normal cardboard backing from the frame. At a later date I might get a acid free one.

I want to do something similar. I think you need to be careful however putting the comic in with the comic art. As the comic isn't acid free. I believe the art boards are or at least neutral. I think there is a spray that you can use to treat the acid in the comic.
