It's like asking if I can fine an ounce of gold for less than $700...

It's the market price and if you want it you pay for it, Simple as is.
Unless you luck out and find someone dumb enough to let it go for cheap.

Hope for a new figure to be released later this year/early next year with the release of Resident Evil 6. All the other figures in the RE line have damn near sold out every where. So it just stands to reason that they will make another version.

Hmmmm... I can't argue with that. I would hate for my original Leon to be devalued. Mind you, I have no intention of ever letting it go. I have thought about it since I had seen that the price jumped to $1000. It still isn't high enough for something that is irreplaceable.
