Opened Hot Toys figures lose value?

Curious about resell value of opened vs factory sealed Hot toys figures. Any difference for you guys? Is it not better to inspect to make sure that lights are working and no broken joints?

you get more cash for never opened. most just want that never been touched thing. I don't care really as I display mine but there are some that buy em and shelve the things without knowing the joy of display.

It would most likely be imprudent to purchase a HT that had never been opened in the case of HT figures with preloaded batteries. The batteries are most likely to leak after long extended periods of time. Thus causing damage to the figure.

i dont think it makes any difference, watching what hot toys have gone for in the past (dx02, dx01, mark IV, mark VI for example) the fact that they were opened and even displayed did not keep people from paying double retail plus

Toys & figures always depreciate value when open.

+1
The first thing I do with nearly all my HT figures (if required) is to remove the batteries and place them in a ziploc bag for storage.

Ever since I had batteries explode in my original GameBoy and ruin it...I learned my lesson about storing battery items
