Moving Soon: How Do I Move My Collection

I'm moving next month to a new home and I'm stressing out about moving my collection. All of my items are open and displayed, and I did not keep any of the original boxes, because I didn't have the space or storage to do so (also, I honestly didn't think I would be moving ever). Most of my statues are PVC, not too worried about those. I do have DC Cover Girls statues that I'm worried about. Luckily, my new home is only 15 minutes away. I also several IKEA Detolf cases that will need to be moved, so I'm wondering what kind of instructions to give the movers (I'll be removing the shelves of course). Has anyone ever had to move their collection? Any tips? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

just get some plastic containers at walmart and put the items in those with some bubble wrap and foam peanuts and move then only a car full at a time.

i have gone to jerseyfest shows a hour away just bringing item to splay that way and they were fine.

I sure as hell wouldn't let the movers touch anything. Do that yourself.

I say don't move. Too risky.
