Iron Fist Season 2 8/10 Much better than Season 1. As an IF fan I'm not even mad at the path this show is taking. Its a far departure from the comic but works for this live action version. definitely benefits from the shorter (10 episode) season.

Strike Back: Retribution - 5.5/10

I really enjoyed the Strike Back series on Cinemax but it was canceled a couple years back as the leads moved onto other projects. So when it was announced the series would be returning but with a new cast I was cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately Retribution failed to capture what I liked in previous seasons. Cast wasn’t bad but the writing was a step backwards. Lots of implausible and unrealistic events coupled with some corny dialogue kept me from ever getting too invested. Not even a cameo in the final 2 episodes from the previous leads could save the season. Hoping when it returns they become regulars again and the narrative is more intelligent and engaging.

Iron Fist S2: 7/10

Vastly improved from the first season! It benefited greatly from cutting from 13 to 10 episodes. Still, it felt as though there were some pacing issues. They could trimmed even more, maybe an episode's worth of fluff, to get it where it needs to be. That said it was way more enjoyable than S1. I don't know where the series is going at the end, but it seems kind of interesting. Since I don't know a lot about the more recent Iron Fist comic exploits, I don't know how "faithful" they are being, but it looks interesting.

The Terror - 8/10

A 10 episode period piece that lives up to it’s namesake but not necessarily for the most obvious of reasons. The narrative is slow to build but once you get invested you’ll feel compelled to see the mystery and predicament unfold. Acting and cinematography are as good as can be. Very atmospheric and suspenseful and unlike anything I’ve seen. An intriguing and unsettling journey worth taking for those interested in a unique thriller.

Just started watching Grimm, season 1. Only a few episodes in, is it worth it for the long haul?

Great series. Has a Breaking Bad vibe but different.

For a supernatural type show, it had a lot of substance and character development
