Denver Comic Con Haul

The show grew huge in just two years and the artists they brought in were fantastic. I ended up scoring a Steranko Fury sketch at the charity auction to end the con. Here are some of the pieces.

Nice haul and I look forward to the CON getting bigger every year. It's nice when I only have to jump on the Lightrail to go to a show instead of another state.

Nice stuff, D. You done for the year or you got any other cons? I'd love to hit Denver but its too close (time) to Phx. Need to space them out a bit for our family.

I was going to do NYCC again but some things aren't working out so I may pass. I think I'll hit Tuscon and either Long Beach or Comikaze in LA. If I count the ACME event then I did 4 cons in 5 weeks so I need a break to build up my savings again lol. I'm debating if I want to try Boston or Baltimore since I'm passing on NYCC but my wallet keeps looking at me disappointed.

tucson you say? when is that? we are pretty much out on all of the east coast trips, which is unfortunate. the cost for my family to travel, lodge, eat, and then add on my con expenses (always hefty), its a small fortune. would be ridiculous if i was let loose at say, NYCC or HEROES. we wanted to make one big con this year and had it down to either ECCC or HEROES, but, things didn't quite work out as well as we wanted. sooner or later, i suppose.

its funny you got a bunch of Katies pieces. we have started a list for the 4 of us (me, the wife, both boys) of characters we want her to do. i am supposed to be on a commission list for her from ACE, but, haven't heard back from her yet regarding that. hopefully she can make it happen.

Great haul! You picked up really nice pieces there! The Steranko alone is worth the price of admission!

Tucson is in November around the same time as the two LA shows I'm looking at. Last year they had a few good guests like Zach Howard. I figure it's worth going for one day.

Katie is usually really good about getting her con commissions done. She is really good about staying in her hotel room and sketching for the show. Good luck.
