Display choices for these 1/3 statues

I have several 1/3 scale statues coming in soon One in particular is 42 inch in height. The best frames don't seem to be big enough?. The exact dimensions are H:105.8cm W:72cm D:38.6cm. I can't seem to find a case big enough for this either. Can anybody help me? I own a DETOLF but there is no way in high heaven this would fit in.

Once the width is beyond 56 cm you have to start looking at a Pax or other custom furniture etc.

Anything lower than that may fit in a Besta or Stuva; with the Besta you can probably fit something with a depth of 37 cm whereas a Stuva up to maybe 47cm. But that’s if you put them behind doors only, which most collectors refuse to use the standard ones as the bevels will cover part of the statues, so they end up having custom doors made up etc.

Mucho gracias i think i found it.

On the same topic which of these is clear glass? Going to need a door but a clear one isn't it. Or would a custom door be better?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

This is the widest PAX and I had acrylic sheets cut to put in the sliding door frames.

This thread has all the info:

That thread has a lot of broken picture links and a lot of older info =)

From what I can see with your current pic, it looks like you have sliding doors on them. But trying to go through the older Freaks posts, someone's saying that the sliding doors need non-Ikea parts to install them? But then another post makes it sound like you can buy Ikea sliding doors?? What's your current build all got?

I like that Supergirl 1/4
It looks somewhat small compared to other pieces in your collection.
The $2000+ price tag (on ebay atleast) is outright crazy!!!

You can get everything in white as well, but I went with black so here is everything I used.

I used these frames (I couldn't use the tallest ones because my basement ceilings aren't high enough):

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/pax-2-w...own-s69895247/

These are the shelves for the PAX:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/komplem...rown-80277971/

I then bought these to put under the shelves for reinforcement and to prevent bowing (you can spray paint them black to blend in better):

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/komplem...gray-30256966/

These are the lights:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/norrfly...olor-80332307/

You will need other components to hook the lights up that are sold on the site as well. It depends on whether you want remote control or to turn them on manually. Just scroll down and read what other components are needed.

These are the sliding door frames I bought. You just don't use the middle brackets:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/pax-pai...lack-40250271/

Then I had acrylic sheets cut to put inside the frames. The exact measurements for mine were: 39.625 inches wide X 77 inches tall X 0.187 inches thick (go with 0.062 tolerance which is standard)

You can order the acrylic sheets here if you don't have a local place in town, but any cabinet or glass place should be able to do them for you:

Dang, that's a crazy price. I definitely didn't pay anywhere near that as I bought it directly from the person making them at the time.
