The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

That's a nice amount, but honestly I expected more. That stack was 200 plus pages in Chicago.

Yea! Wonderful news that you finally got to go thru the pile. I can only imagine how you looked carrying that haul out :-)
Now you also know what's still out there for the future.

Oh, I left a lot. Ryan did give me a break on all the stuff. There were a bunch of Haunt pages (which I've never read) and lots of newer stuff. The newer pages are done on this really bright, flimsy paper. I prefer the 400s. I think Ryan switched over around issue 90. I think the pencils look completely inferior on the new paper, the inks look good due to the heavy contrast, but, then you're left with the digital bluelines all over the place. I was very selective. Also, the stack that was there, honestly, I didn't see a lot of pages over $200. Ryan's brother-in-law said he had only brought the "cheaper" pages and there was still a "huge stack" at home of the more expensive stuff. I've been reading a lot lately about artists that are starting to hold onto their pages. I think Ryan is doing this, I know his son is getting into the book and the art and he wants to have a bunch to give to him at some point. I did my best and am thrilled with the results.

Yeah congrats. Just busting your chops a bit on only getting 39 pieces.
Totally agree on the more recent art. It's smaller. Has an odd look to some of the pages - not the art per es but the pencils and size.
You should try to set up a pre order or running order. I bet he would love to have a continual source of additional funds.

I'll tell you this. I did spend a fair amount of time visiting with his brother-in-law who is going to eventually handle all the shipping and I would imagine sales of his OA. Realized this as we were talking. Tried to chum up to him. That's when he revealed that there was more art at Ryan's house. Time will tell.
