Kototbukiya X-men 92 detailing
I've been detailing my Kotobukiya X-men 92 statues, to add some shading and detailing to bring out the sculpts more, as well as taking out the shiny plastic feel. I don't know how to use an airbrush, so I did this all using pastels. This technique known as 'blushing' in the customs scene, ended up working really well, am super pleased with the first few characters. Here's a look at cyclops before and after...

Great work. Just goes to show how something that seems unnoticeable can make an overall huge difference.

Almost done the set! Just have storm left (so nervous to do her, gonna be tough) Most of these were pretty simple. So far I only added gloss to the lips of rogue/jubilee/phoenix. Not sure if I wanna make gambit's armor bits gloss yet.
Professor X was the most changed, in person it looks 100% diff than the original, which was a huge shiny plastic box. Added lots of sublte orange and browns to his chair, and panel lining along the back and sides...

Thanks! Unfortunately, it didn't go well lol. This process does NOT work on solid white, ended up getting super dirty/chalky and not well blended like the other characters. Trying to strip everything now with thinner, hopefully can get it restored.
