Maybe your LCS has a direct account with HH? If that were the case, I'd think you would be ok. Don't know what kind of quantity an LCS has to purchase from HH to have a direct account. Maybe there isn't a minimum order for an LCS with HH (would be surprised if that were true).

Last time I checked (yesterday) Talesofwonder.com had them both up for sale. I've ordered lots from them in the past and have had no problems. I just can't afford both and have already ordered red from Danny.

A piece "almost" being sold out from the manufacturer means little to nothing in this business. Since 80% of those pieces are going to end up at comic shops anyway, its probable that you'll be able to find these pieces on ebay or in stores for years to come.

I foolishly missed picking up Bowen's Red DD back in the day. I was waiting for him to come out with another but when I saw the HH version I was so blown away I decided this was the one. This HH Daredevil is so beautiful I keep clickin' on their site to just look at it over and over. Either way, we both win.

You do realize that many people do buy from comic shops right!?

Really? Damn, I didn't know that. You'd think I would since I used to own one

All I'm saying is that there are very few pieces which DON'T sell out from a manufacturer. This has nothing to do with the availability of the piece from normal retail outlets.
