Who knows what XM is doing. If anything, they’re doing their own thing. I wouldn’t expect anything very comic accurate. This is their teaser for Magneto Dawn of X



But this is Magneto from the actual Dawn of X, as a matter of fact, this is one of the variants for X-Men #1 from the Dawn of X stories.


It’s not the 1st time XM has labeled a product one thing but shown another so we don’t know what Storm they’ll do until we see it.

Oh I know they got the Mags totally wrong. Im just curious how they got it approved by Marvel to call it a Dawn of X line, but Magneto is the wrong color. Maybe because once in a blue moon DoX covers had him in purple? Can’t imagine them being able to sneak other character designs through with that title if they don’t match.


I wonder what the odds are of SS doing another Storm variant. They did it with the first statue by painting it white.

And XM released the Magneto. If you put a flower of Krakoa with a statue, perhaps you can call it anything. The statue looks better with their tweaks, but I'm still not crazy about his body positioning. Bring on the Storm from DoX!

I could have sworn someone in the XM Mags thread "well actually"ed me when I asked about him being purple, not white. Something about he was purple for a tiny bit or something? I'm too lazy to look.

The fun thing about the Krakoan era, particularly in Hickman’s ”X-Men” run, is numerous characters had multiple costumes at the same time like Storm switching between her Red and Gala looks for a while prior to using the current Brotherhood costume, or like Magneto, wore an older costume for an issue or 2.

Magneto used the purple during the Empyre crossover issues. The cover:

Oh God, that white version is horrible too LOL. They need to do a character bible for Storm and state her costumes are always to be black
