but if HH got the rights, and intended to produce it, it would be "on the water" for about 8 months, and maybe released 2 years from now!

Maybe but at least it wouldn`t arrive broken or with the wrong paint job.

this is a guaranteed sell out how can anyone turn it down is beyond me its like saying no to money,make 5000 piece run and it will still sell out.

Just a matter of Clay negotiating terms that are equitable to both him and the ultimate producer of the piece. Obviously, each side will have a different opinion of what their fair share should be.

No upside for Clay if he doesn't turn a decent profit on his investment of time, skill, and sweat. No upside for the producer if they can't make a few bucks themselves.
