The only good news to come out of it is that my mother wants me to come visit her. I'm not sure what this will lead to with my family. But, with the situation being so dire, I am happy she does want me around.
I'm hoping my mother makes it through this healthy. I'd love to think this could lead to a family reconciliation, but honestly, I'm still keeping my expectations very low.
