I think people are mistaking relief for joy. This being lower than Magneto was something that I would never have predicted, especially since this piece is superior IMO.

Since the beginning my guess has been 700-750, no way this would cost more than magneto. Regardless its a pass for me. I do think its superior to mags though, mags portraits are better though imo.

Price is lower than I expected for the “maquette” cash grab, but still way more than I would pay for this. To me, the new Thor is superior in every way and this should cost less than that. Even with the extra long steel rod.

Because there have been multiple maquettes recently, and the prices of "Premium Format" statues are getting pretty close to what these are anyway, so what's the difference?

Thor is a "Premium Format" and it's $685 and if anything I'd say that's a superior statue. Joker is $640. Batman $600. Superman and many others $580'ish. I mean at some point....what's the difference? They'll just start producing all of them with the intention of being Maquettes/more "complex" or whatever and figure that people will pay it because I imagine the history of Maquettes shows that indeed, people will pay it.

Yeah, 17 pages of hatred once the EX was revealed and now everyone is back on the bandwagon.

At the end of the day, ALL of these things are just 1/4 scale statues. And the price differences between them will continue to make zero sense.

Not me. I didn't get priced out of owning this piece, but I was hoping the EX would make me love this piece.

Instead it's a nice piece that I can, and will, wait to order. Especially since there are other lines I want to wait for NYCC to see new reveals on.

Same here. This was initially #1 but now I'm going to wait.

I wasn't priced out - I just pre-ordered and paid in full $1400 for XM Dark Phoenix this morning and may buy SS Wolverine later today. I'm just not in love with it.

I was reading a review of SS Aquaman on these forums and the reviewer commented how the profile really dampened how much love he had for the piece and how it ruined his excitement every time he looked at it. I don't want to feel this way about Rogue so I'm sitting on the decision.

The catch is they have you thinking $700-$715 is a good price now. They're easing you in.
