Perfect songs

I listen to a variety of music, pretty much anything good. I was in my car the other day listening to an oldies station, and "California Dreamin' " from the Mamas and Papas came on. It's a great tune that I never tire of hearing. It got me to thinking that it's sort of a perfect song. Amazing beautiful harmonies, great lyrics, just the right length( I always want it to go on for another measure or two).

Anyway, it also got me to thinking of songs that have that kind of impact. Songs that you can listen to anytime, and that you always feel a little let down with once they're over, like getting to end of a great book.

Here's some of my favorite perfect songs. In no particluar order, crossing musical genres.

"I walk the line" - Johnny Cash
"California Dreamin' " - Mamas and Papas
"House of the rising sun" - The Animals
"Holiday in Cambodia" - The Dead Kennedy's
"Opus Dei" - Laibach
"Pepper" - Butthole Surfers

If I thought about it a while I'm sure I could come up with a bunch more, but these few came immediately to mind.
