Rider hopefully my info helped you out. I am a big X-files fan. My father, cousin and I would never miss a episode and walking out of the movies together we all said at the same time "That was one long episode". Worth a rent for sure, and prob a DVD when its around the $6 mark but personally i wouldn't drop $10 or more buying it.
Thanks V, looks like I got my entertainement of the night!

I haven't seen Californication (or even True Blood) because I've never subscribed to any of the premium channels. Maybe I'll catch it on DVD sometime, Al.

Still, the X-Files TV show will always be one of my favorite series. That series produced so many truly great episodes.

Couldn't you express the fact you don't care for X-Files a little more tastefully? Honestly.

I'm starting to think Al is related to Drod or Galactus. Anyone else would have been banned by now.

I was actually thinking that when I typed that last message. Wouldn't that be nuts?

Or wouldn't it be a hoot if Al was really Randy Bowen?

I was/is a huge fan of the show. The better half and I had a really good time over the summer watching all 9 seasons on dvd. We eagerly awaited the X-Files film. When we finally saw it, we were sorely disappointed. The film felt irrelevant. It didn't enrich the lore much at all. Considering how the show ended, you'd think there would be some follow up.

it was decent. If you were a fan of the show certainly worth renting. My only problems with it were

-plot was a bit weak for the show, no Alien/Conspiracy involvement and the duo was seperate for most of the film.

-Skinner made a cameo which was nice but it was totally unnecessary and felt forced in an attempt to satisfy the fans

-Two shameless plugs for Google were apparent, one came across to me as the single stupidest line in the movie.

-The end of the movie felt rushed to me and also left some questions unanswered.

All the same its worth a rent. The nastagia feeling alone will make watching it more enjoyable than if it were some random flick.

X-Files always answered a question, leaving you with two unanswered.
