Is it safe to accept payment with unconfirmed address?

Guys, I have a problem! I sold something on ebay for over 200.00. The bidder sent me a payment and it has unconfirmed address. In my paypal account, it has option for me to accept or deny payment.

Is it a good idea to accept the payment?

unconfirmed address is something I would NOT touch with a ten foot pole.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I think just about all foreign adresses (out of the US) are unconfirmed but thats a limitation of paypal/ebay.

I`d personally judge the buyer more by his feedback than whether or not their address is confirmed. If it`s overwhelmingly positive i`d say accept it

I'm of the same opinion. I never confirmed my address for 2 1/2 years and that never stopped me getting a 100 % positive rating of 250.

A confirmed address is basically where your Credit/Debit Card statement is sent to. So, my apartment is my "confirmed address", but I always get everything sent to my comic shop since there is always someone there to sign for everything. Like El Diablo said, I go based on the feedback. If they seem ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you live outside of the US you automaticaly have an unconfirmed adress. It wouldnt be fair to go by that, that would mean NOONE outside of the US can buy from you wich is also a disadvantage for you. Like most people here said, just go by the feedback.

that guy is actually in the US. I accept international payment and international payment always has unconfirmed address, but the status is completed. There is no deny and accept option for those payment. Everytime I see the status that is complete, I will ship out the item even though the address is unconfirmed.

Payment that I received from US bidder that has unconfirmed address usually has accept and deny option. Therefore the status is not complete.

Anyway, the buyer understand the whole situation and he decided that he will send the money order instead.

thank you guys for great help
